National Housing Bank (NHB) recruitment Exam
The National Housing Bank (NHB) was established on July 9, 1988 under an Act of the Parliament viz. the National Housing Bank Act, 1987. National Housing Bank is a public authority as defined in the Right to Information Act, 2005. As such, NHB is obliged to provide information to members of public. NHB exercises regulatory and supervisory authority over the Housing Finance Companies (HFCs). NHB operates as the apex Development Finance Institution (DFI) for the housing sector.

Financing:
NHB raises resources for deployment towards increasing new housing stock and provides housing refinance to a large set of retail institutions. These include eligible scheduled commercial banks, scheduled state cooperative banks, scheduled urban cooperative banks, specialized housing finance institutions, apex cooperative housing finance societies and agriculture and rural development banks.

Training and Capacity Building:
The NHB also provides programme design (course content, study material etc) and faculty support to various institutions for conducting their in-house training programmes based on their requirements. NHB’s Head Office is in New Delhi. It has a regional office in Mumbai and Representative offices in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai & Kolkata.
